After I figured out the lamp could be disassembled - I realized that I needed a picture. This provides a big picture view of the assembled lamp less the lamp shade.
The parts are numbered starting from the bottom. The heavy lamp base doesn't have a number. Between the glass balls at 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 ... there are three pieces. Look at zoomed pictures for the correct orientation of those pieces.
This view continues from the bottom and moves up the post. Again, 15, 17, 19 will have three tiny pieces between the glass balls.
The wire was cut under 23 - so you'll need to take 23 apart to rewire the fixture.

The metal pole that holds the entire lamp together needed to be mailed separately from the main box. Here the pole has been removed but the parts are laid out and set on the ground.

This is where I suggest you start. Find the unnumbered base piece. The heaviest one. Screw metal bar into the base pole. I would run the wire through the pole at this point as well - remembering to leave a bit of slack out the top of the pole for rewiring the fixture.
I captured the pieces between glass parts and placed them in a zip lock bag. This should help in the beginning when you lay it all out.
I also labeled the bags A, B, C, and D. Some of the larger items I did not label but through them in the bags so they would not get lost.
