The Baptism of Connor Ryan McGovern

Welcome to my baptism story. My name is Connor and these are my parents and God parents.

The priest is making sure that my parents and God parents want to move forward with this baptism. They promise to bring me up in the faith.

Oh boy, it's dipping time.

I'm willing to brave these waters.

God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has freed me from original sin, given me a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit.

See in this white garment the outward sign of my Christian dignity. With your help by word and example - may I bring that dignity unstained in the everlasting life of heaven.

As Christ was anointed Priest, Prophet and King, so may I live always as a member of his body, sharing everlasting life.

This light has been entrusted to you to be kept burning brightly. This child of yours has been enlightened by Christ. He is to walk always as a child of the light. May he keep the flame of faith alive in his hears. When the Lord comes may he go out to meet him with all the saints in the heavenly kingdom.

The Lord Jesus made the deaf hear and the dumb speak. May he soon touch your ears to receive his word, and your mouth to proclaim his faith, to the praise and glory of God the Father.

I survived my baptism with pooping or crying!!
