View of towards South Street from neighbor's property (Marc Fanelli)
Kirsten at entrance to Snake Mountain Trail. This used to be Uncle Joe's property.
Up the mountain we go.
It would be a more more difficult climb without the meandering trail.
At the bend in the trail on the way up.
Getting near the top of mountain.
This used to be a vinyard that my Dad's family farmed many years ago. You can still make out the waves in soil by the way it was tilled.
Little snake on the leaves.
Tree stand on property - Is this Bobby Schoonmaker's ?
Many stone walls on property. Presumably these were made so fields could be mowed. This one runs parallel to South Street.
View along the same wall facing north.
Forest obscures the view of Mohawk Mountain.
Many no hunting signs are posted along the back south portion of the property line by our former neighbor, Charles Fiscella.
Neighbor's property to the south.
As you can see Charle posted every other tree back there. This photo was taken from Jacobs property towards our property.
Reached the swamp at the back of the property. You can see the fairway of Apple Greens Golf course in the distance.
View eastward over wetlands.
Trail around wetlands still being maintained. This is looking North.
Same trail along wetlands looking South towards Jacobs.
This is near the corner of Marc Fanelli's property. Road gets a bit wet here.
Found this empty bucket handing from the tree. Nothing in it.
Looks like Marc's stand back here.
Heading back now. Trail follows south line of property and traverses back onto Fanelli's side.
Still can see the swamp as we look back.
